Over on Goldwingfacts.com we have installed the Skype status button, it shows whether a user is online, away, do not disturb or off line. Steve now has over 150 members using this facility and it has really brought the community together. We hold regular confrence calls, where we can get many members from all over the world chatting together. Its a great feature, and easy to add into your site. Just need to add a bit of Javascript, (I have done it probably this time Jim), and get people to add their skype user name under there profile. Its a great addition and really engages your members in the community of your board.

Not really much of a Skyper, actually have never used it. Seems like a good thing though and I would love to help, it might just take a while. I have simply miles of script to finish that I am better than a month behind on for various reasons. Things like spam protection for the contact form and trial boards, moving multiple domains.....

Seems like a good plan. I'd wonder if we could get like an MSN Messenger "I am online, I am offline, I am busy, I am away, etc" feature. For either YIM or MSN.
