Computing has everything to do with processing for sure. And that is the bugbear as setting up Windows is all too complicated and seemingly unnecessary for PC Users as all they want is to get on with it.  It is a good thing we don't have to setup gear boxes and the steering when we buy a new car - what a headache that would be.

For ten years, I ran my own business in Windows Clientside setting up computers for clients so their data was safe, their computer fast and a way to recover from any virus attack in a click of the mouse.

It was successful and they happily paid $300/400 for the privilege but alas they all became my second best friend and wanting everything in the future fixed for nothing and all over the phone too; at 11pm. I quit!

My advice for anyone reading this post before you go turning off Windows processes be sure you have drive imaging set in place so you can restore Windows back to its original condition. Turn the wrong process off and you may find Windows is also turned off for good. Acronis.com has good drive image software, which works on Vista.

Vista = Very InconSistent Tatty Arrangement. It needs to be setup to work anywhere near the speed and reliability of XP SP1.

A tip: If you are planning to use drive imaging, and everyone serious about their business should be, you may have difficulty in creating or restoring a drive image. The single cause of this are bad sectors on your hard drive. Easily fixed though, just run error checking and then run drive imaging again and the restore will work. Forget about System restore as this Microsoft utility only restores certain files and they can be corrupted. System restore is not a duplicate image of Windows and your installed software.

I have a couple of queries about WowUltra but I will open new threads to keep everything in order.
