I'm looking for right forum software for new site and wondered how WOW Ultra offers protection from forum spam bots. I have had issues with this on an PHPbb board I ran on another site and simply couldn't find a solution that worked including going all the way to admin approved registration which was a real pain. I have not had much problem with spam on a couple of WOWbb boards but did get a little. Any ideas on this? Jack

Hi Jack, It is near the top on the priority list: http://wowultra.com/forum/forum1/152.html Our research has shown that conventional captcha's are not fool proof or we would "throw one in there" since there are a million scripts for this. We are looking in to licensing to implement a third party routine that is fool proof or at least by September 2007 standards. I want to release version 1.12 of WowUltra soon so that particular routine will not make it to that release. The sub sequential release will include spambot protection but I'm not going to put just anything in there. When it happens it will work. Jim
