I've been all over the admin panel and can't figure out how to: Restrict new members from being able to post in certain forums until they have "X" number of posts. It this even doable? Thanks Torque

Not a feature as of yet, but interesting.... I've been thinking about setting up the subscription area so you could have non pay subscriptions to gain access to areas of particular interest. That would go in the same area. Sorry it isn't there yet but when Ultra first started we didn't have sub forums either so anything is possible. Jim

On boards that have "for sale" sections it's good to have a pre-set number of posts by a new member before they can post in that section or forum. It helps reduce the number of "new members" that register for no reason except to try and sell something. Most of the time a person registers, post something for sale, leaves contact information and they're never seen again. Seems harmless enough but it gets pretty bad over time. I don't like a bloated members list and that's what it comes to. Although having a specified number of posts before one can post in a particular forum isn't a "fix" by any means but it is a deterrant. It's also pretty easy to see these people that have registered just to be able to post in that forum. They usually troll the board with rediculous type things very quickly just to get their post count up. This gives Admin and Mods time to stop them before hand. Keep it in mind Mr. Jim if you would. I've been working really hard over the past several days on my trial board. Unless something just tosses up all kinds of stop signs, I may be making it permenant in a week or two. We'll see.
