DO wowbb themes work with ultra?

is it the base themes that came with wowbb or an aftermarket theme? Because of the enhanced features of WowUltra, any aftermarket theme not created by us will not work with our code. Di

Hi Maili, Ill have to leave this question for JIm because to be honest, I dont create my themes using the theme editor or C-panel at all. I do all of my themeing on our home server where i can just drag and drop files thru the FTP. However, I do have a friend who uses the theme editor to change the look of her Ultra board using the theme editor so I know its possible to do. I just dont use the editor. Sorry im not much help in that regards  Di

You can alter a theme with the theme editor on the board, or any other way you can get to the files (FTP, Cpanel). The theme portion will be almost identical to a WowBB (the base code for Ultra is WowBB 1.7) except there are more "things" called from the php files in the templates. A 1.7 theme would appear to be "working" however all the extended features would be missing and it would look unusual.

ok, now how about themes with the side bar codes? Are those available for ultra or would the themes special written for me for wowbb work? I like having the side bar available as you can see them on my current site http://www.mailipugtalk.com

Actually that one looks a little like these: http://data1systems.com/lefty/ Which is a mod for wowbb I wrote years ago and have posted it for free on the Wow public board. Since our regular WowBB 1.7 themes will be made available in the WowUltra format eventually, basically you could get it for free but you would have to wait since we are a little backed up with current customer requests. We don't charge a lot for complete custom themes if they are simple ones, if interested send DI a PM for a qote. We do one, two or three column sides, either or both sides, whatever you want. Jim
