Is their a way to have a recurring payment occurrence on PayPal update the User end date? So for instance, a member wishes to join and wants to be auto debited, that can be done through PayPal, but is their a way to auto update the persons expiry date after successful payment?

I don't think so without re subscribing. A current subscription from a pay pal standpoint is based on info the user agrees to upon the original subscription. That I believe would require complicated API's like exists with c-panel. I do see your dilemma.

It was fine when membership was low but as it grows it becomes a major issue. Most want the option to auto-debit yet I cannot see a way to integrate that function with a refresh of the end date for that member. I will check with paypal maybe they generate more than an email for payment?

I doubt if they can fire up a script but it never hurts to ask
