Jim i know PB mentioned about the pictures being transferred,a lot of the pictures on our forum are copy pasted from the likes of Photobucket. Will these be transferred too or will we have to manually copy them and move them over.

Thanks bm.
Hi bigmac!  I  moved from wowBB to WowUltra, and I didn't have to lift a finger.  Jim transferred everything for me: all posts, links, photos, avatars.... EVERYTHING!  It was a very simple process on my end.  I highly recommend making the move to Ultra!

Hi Jim,

I am unable to backup the database on the old WoWbb board using the forum software's own backup tool - it doesn't work, never has. Could you (or anbody else that knows) advise which format and options I should use if I export the database using phpMyAdmin on my server control panel so that the database can be restored onto the new site here?

Thanks,

PB

Hi PB. I'd suggest getting Jim to do it for you as if there is a problem he will know immediately. That's the way I think we all did it, ie just give Jim the passwords and let him do it in his own time. You can always change the passwords after the move if you want to.

Hi Bigmac,

As far as multiple attachments in post, we can do it but it would be irresponsible of us to do so now while the attachments are still in the database. We have plans to remove the attachments from the database and place them in a folder of their own. Once we have completed those plans, then we will make it so that users can post multiple attachments.

Di
