Hi Jim,

Very happy with Ultra (thanks for fixing the avatar problem). But I'm having one problem, and it appears to me to be cookie-related. Have a member who can't remember her password. Had her try to re-set it; no luck. Used a sql command to change her password; that allowed her to log on and get the main page of the board, but when she tries to post, it tells her she can only do that if she logs in. Finally set her up with a whole new username & password, using one of my sites e-mail addresses. That, again, got her logged on to the main page, but logged her out as soon as she tried to post.

This is a very loyal member, and I'd hate to lose her. She's using AOL browser, which doesn't help since I avoid them like the plague. I told her to delete her cookies, but she's afraid she'll lose all her other passwords and won't remember them. Is there anything more I can do for her that you can think of?

The world is getting more educated and informed, AOL will pass away in our life time and it's about time.

Is there any way she can clear the cookie for just one domain? All other browsers will let you.

The only two things we can do at this point Is I could do a global cookie change which would log everyone else out too. OR she could minimize the AOL window and open up a firefox window while AOL is running. That works or has in the past.

I'll do some reading and see if there are any tricks. AOL users have had problems with about every type of board software including base Wow.

Jim
