I have LOVED using the HTML editor built in to the file manager section, but for the last day or two no matter what I click  when designing I get an error message that says it has been a long period of inactivity and try reloading the page. Please help - cause this is my FAVORITE way to set up my pages!

You might have to point me toward that, I have never used it. Where exactly is this feature?

If you click on File Manager, and then create a new file, by clicking on it you have the option to rename, delete, etc... at the bottom of the list is a link to an HTML Editor. You can do the page as an HTML coded document or as a WYSIWYG window. I am in the WYSIWYG mode and if I click to add a link or insert an image an error window pops up that says my editing session has expired due to inactivity... even if it has only been seconds since I clicked the button..

I'll look in to that, you say it used to work? When is the last time it worked you can remember?

Just tried it and it worked for me. Man that is a crazy routine!

Might be a new cookie setting on your machine?

It's a useful feature and beats using Frontpage to do live edits, Frontpage often crashes the page but CPanel doesn't...

hmmm, I remember it working a couple weeks ago... I don't use it that often unless I am adding new pages/content to the site. I haven't changed anything on the computer, but I'll try it again and see if it works...

I use Webdrive for live editing and it is awesome IMO.

OK, Jim... I had a blonde moment (or two) and I've gotten it to work again. I have found that for some reason I can't run it in MSN or Internet Explorer, but it works fine with Firefox. Go figure! LOL
